Who is Ana?
In a nutshell, Ana is a consequence of the Big Bang. Like all of us, of course. She’s also a Level 1 & 2 Kundalini Yoga Teacher, Sound Healer Gong Master with over 4000 hours of study and practice, and numerous certifications. Yup, more than 4k hours of study & practice, all in the service of her international students. Ana teaches Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Hatha Yoga, Khalsa Way Prenatal Yoga, Sound Healing, Mindfulness and various techniques of Breath Work and Meditation.
From Acting to Yoga
After a successful acting career, Ana found her way to yoga and started on a path to rediscover herself. On the journey to discovering yoga, Ana’s passion for dance was the golden key the completed the puzzle. This might seem like an unlikely journey. But, at a closer look, it’s not. Dance is already a form of yoga that allows you to get in touch with your body and emotions and express yourself freely.
And the same is true about acting, though from a different perspective. Acting is for your own self what dancing is for your body. Acting opens up a new world of possibilities, for the affective memory, mind & body alike, it allows you to observe yourself from within, to learn more about yourself from the characters you play and to distance yourself from your ego. This creative mix has shaped her unique style of teaching – that of an Alchemist Yogi.
Yoga & The City
A life-changing move to New York City for 5 years guided her towards a yogic path. Upon discovering Kundalini Yoga, Ana has explored and practiced a wide variety of yoga styles, meditation and mindfulness techniques. She found Kundalini yoga, this particular practice, to be the one that healed her from specific physical problems and emotional wounds, evidence that pushed her curiosity towards practicing and diving deeper into mastering the technique.
Once she discovered the profound transformational powers of Kundalini Yoga, she vowed to teach others how to do that.
The continuous study, practice and teaching of Kundalini Yoga led her to Hawaii, Lisbon, London, Rome and Amsterdam, teaching and working with people from all over the world. Ana was fortunate to learn from world-leading teachers. She has studied with and been inspired by: Guru Dharam, Mahankirn Kaur Khalsa, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Guru Dev, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Dr. Jeffrey Thompson, Deborah Coehn, Amanbir Joe Singh, Gurumarka, Don Conreaux, Angelo & Katia Surinder, Shiv Charan.
Stepping into her power
In 2017, guided by her teachers and her own inner compass, she followed her mission and dedication to the practice and returned to her native Romania, to open an urban sanctuary - Pawan Studio of Yoga & Sound Healing in the heart of Bucharest. The studio became a living testimony to her strong belief in the power of sharing this ancient wisdom, these techniques and an expression of gratitude for her own transformation.
Sat Nam Rasayan, Sound Healing and Kundalini Therapy Medicine are her most beloved techniques that she applies and works with her students in both classes and conferences. Her biggest flex: mixing her intuition and thousands of hours of study to find the best way to guide people towards identifying their own inner resources to evolve, recover and find balance inside out enabling them to enjoy life in any circumstances.

After 3 years in our yoga studio, building a beautiful community, experiences, and transformations we have adapted to the world’s speed and challenges, continuing with dedication, passion, grit, and compassion. We practice what we preach “Poke, Provoke, Elevate”, and we are ready for the next step in our own transformation. Pawan World is giving us a chance to connect from everywhere in the world, meant to support growth and transformation.
Being of service to others
That’s the most uplifting feeling in the world for Ana. She believes the greatest gift you can give someone is the gift of skill and to teach them how to tap into awareness, build caliber, empathy and awaken the desire to live their own, true potential, is her mission. She does all that for thousands of students across the world via her online yoga classes, special workshops, and mentoring sessions.
Funky and full of energy, Ana is not your ordinary yoga teacher. She didn't give up acting or dancing, still rocks the gong, teaches and travels the world for both yoga and acting purpose-filled events, organizing conferences, public speaking sessions and acting coaching. Living in the Netherlands, she’s currently a Student at the Traditional Chinese Medicine University in Amsterdam.

Kundalini Yoga is an all-in-one technique that unites all the other yogic teachings, physical exercises, breathing techniques, mantras and meditation in each practice. The ultimate goal: bringing you closer to or even merging (aka “yoking”) with the universal Self. Kundalini is an ancient practice dating back to the fifth century BC, described in the Upanishads. The oral tradition of its sacred science, goes even further, thousands of years back when the practice was passed on verbally from master to chosen disciple. The Kundalini practice produces wow-worthy before-and-afters effects.
The practice clears the inner duality, creates the power to deeply listen, cultivates the stillness within, and helps the practitioner to prosper bringing excellence in daily life, tap into his unique resources that enable him to lead a better life, overall. The Gong and its soothing vibration, is a very important part of any Kundalini class, completing the practice and calming the nervous system. Yogi Bhajan’s teachings don’t rely on one single technique, but on many, and it’s precisely that combination of kriyas (sequence of exercises) and naad (sound current) that drives you on a personal experience toward a deeper awareness. If performed correctly, each kriya takes you one step closer to creating sustainable personal healing and growth.

The principle is Poke, Provoke and Elevate
Every class begins with the Adi Mantra: Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo. This mantra opens the potential to relate to a state of flowing creativity and higher consciousness. Each Kundalini Yoga class is a one-of-a-kind blend of physical asanas, breathwork, mantra, mudra, and deep meditation.
Although the sequence of exercises in each class is different, all the exercises work to align practitioners into a state of harmony. The vibration and transformational sound of our symphonic gong is often played during classes to deepen relaxation and meditation and to restore the nervous system. Classes end with chanting the mantra Sat Nam used to reaffirm your authentic self.
Our recommendation is to wear comfortable, light-colored clothes. At Pawan, we’re as beginner-friendly as we can be: no previous experience in yoga is required for you to experience it and achieve results with your very first class. Ready to dive in?
Pawan's story begins with Ana, an artist who discovered a brand new life by stepping onto the yogic path and making her life's mission to share this ancient wisdom with the world. She has created Pawan, a sanctuary dedicated to elevating human consciousness and awareness. Pawan is Ana's way of expressing gratitude for her own freedom, story, and transformation.
The name of the concept, Pawan, has a meaning, like all the things that we do. Pawan is the vehicle that carries the Prana, Life Energy; it is what re-vibrates and reconstructs our cells. It is also called wind. Prana is the essence of life, Pawan is wind, air. Our life is based on Pawan, the carrier of prana, the prana shakti - the power of life.
Until I met Ana Popescu, over the years, I have worked with 2-3 skilled therapists. In this way I was able to compare and evaluate my results and their methods.
Ana does not only work with intuition, with inspiration, in advance she confirms them through readings, studies, workshops and a lot of work. She is the most complete and dedicated therapist I have ever worked with. In addition to complex techniques and new theories, methods appropriate to the times, I received from her the sincere joy of sharing, a fair optimism, much and sincere generosity, good energy and a lot of humor.
I worked with her both individually and in groups.
She has a rare talent as a teacher, she keeps a good balance between what she asks and what she offers to the participants. The environment in which she works gives a lot of comfort and safety. The development is received and efficient long-term.

I have been practicing yoga and meditation for quite some time from New York to Bali all the way to Berlin and Bucharest. Even if I was lucky to practice with wonderful teachers who taught me a lot about form, and techniques it is rare to find someone at the same level as Ana. She is not just a wonderful teacher who can seemingly guide you through the intense practice of kundalini and through some of the deepest meditations. She is much more. A higher spirit, with intuition, divine light and spiritual understanding she can read a room, even a zoom room, she can feel a person and what is beyond their declared pains and she always knows how and where to work so that after every single session with her you truly feel reborn.
I practiced with Ana for more than a year now and I can say that no one touches the gong just as magically as she can do and no one can transport you on such a higher level she can even during a zoom session.
I hope she will continue to heal us all and support us in uncovering the deepest fears so we can get to the raw power our inner souls have!
