We’re thrilled to welcome you to a very special early fall retreat in the Chianti hills of Tuscany, Italy. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and Renaissance walls, this retreat’s location becomes our very private Italian borgo, an over 800 years old historic ensemble.

There will be beauty and we will rejoice in this cinematic landscape, set halfway between Florence and Siena, in the heart of Tuscany, where the rolling hills stretch as far as the eye can see, abounding with wine, olive oil and great food to relish in and take us back to the simple bliss of sensorial living. 

Theme: The Mind & Heart Resonance

The special theme we will be exploring throughout our five-days Tuscan immersion is called the Mind-Heart Resonance. Our focus will be on the exploration and discovery of the inner connection between mind and heart resonance and from that place, train our intuition and develop the ability to access the meditative space for balance and healing, with the support of Kundalini yoga, Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Meditations, Mandalas and Gong Baths. 

Whether you believe the Mind is the key or the Heart is the path, you’re not wrong. They are both equally important in our journey towards a more centred, peaceful and aligned way of being and living on this earthly plane. However, when we’re in the battlefield of polarity, caught in the duality between heart and mind, we may experience a lot of confusion, worry, anxiety, lack of energy, disharmony, panic attacks, stress and a constant feeling of longing to belong.

On the other side, when Heart and Mind are in alignment, we have the power of clarity, the feeling of contentment and peace. From this space we can transform, manifest and create our desired reality.

Here lies the beauty of the transformational practices of Kundalini Yoga, that will guide you through the process and offer you the tools to achieve this elevated state of being. By deeply connecting with yourself, by bringing your struggles and stories on the mat, into the practice, by allowing them to surface and by allowing yourself to feel and observe past the limited field of preconceived ideas you have about yourself, you will move, meditate, chant and breathe yourself back into the present, into the purity of your mind and the gentleness of your heart. 

The Techniques

The powerful practices of Kundalini yoga guide us through the times of change acting beyond duality and the repetitive mental stories we’ve grown attached to, bringing clarity, a feeling of contentment and peace. 

Additionally, the magic of sound therapy through profoundly cleansing Gong baths sessions will accompany us in this journey. The frequencies of the Gong played late in the evening open the space for a deep experience as the sound plays an extremely important role throughout these five days. It will support our practice and complete the meditations for releasing the stagnant aspects in the subconscious mind and rejuvenating the nervous system.

Giving yourself the time and space to explore where you are in your life, cleanse the subconscious mind, deconstruct duality, develop the power of deep listening, uplift your frequency and activate your intuition is a wonderful way to develop an authentic relationship with yourself.

Program and Practice

The programme is specifically tailored to address the theme of this journey inwards through multiple techniques which include early morning practices (Sadhana), Kundalini Yoga sessions, meditations, Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga sessions and evening sound bath therapy in order to actively involve both the body and the mind. There will be 2 practices per day and extended gong baths in the evening.

The exploration through Mandalas of Light and Journaling will come as a support practice to have us go deeper within, observe the thoughts, the emotions, the stories that come to play after the more intense physical sessions and active meditations sequences. 

The sessions are taught both in Romanian and English.

Level of Practice: 

The retreat is open for all levels of practice, however it is not recommended for children and teenagers. Participants are welcome starting the age of 17 years old.

Your guide and Teacher

Ana Popescu is an International Kundalini Yoga Teacher level 1 and 2, Sound Healer Gong Master, Kundalini Medicine Therapist, Hatha Yoga, Khalsa Way Prenatal Yoga teacher, Sat Nam Rasayan Healing Facilitator, Breathwork, meditation, Mindfulness Trainer, Founder of Pawan Yoga & Sound Healing.

Accommodation & Surrounding Area 

Our home for these five days of Tuscan bliss is to be found between two UNESCO World Heritage sites – Florence, the city of the Flourishing Renaissance Arts and its long time rival, the astonishingly beautiful Siena. 

Perfectly located in the Chianti hills and lying at the centre of 45 acres of Tuscan vineyards and olive groves, our very private Italian borgo consists of a 12th century family owned Medieval villa, two Renaissance stone hamlets, two private pools and lush beautiful garden, the ideal place to contemplate, daydream, create and loose yourself in the breathtaking beauty of those poetic Italian sunsets. 

The entire property is exclusively reserved for our group and the unique experience we will create together. 

Florence is a short drive away (11 km) and the beautiful medieval village of San Casciano in Val di Pesa is within walking distance. We are in the heart of Chianti Classico.

All the yoga sessions will either be shared in the designated yoga space outside overlooking the rolling vine hills or indoors if the weather is not suitable for outdoor practice. 

Food the Tuscan Way

Food is a very important part of our transformational experience here in Tuscany. All meals will be cooked by local chefs with nourishing, fresh, healthy ingredients and authentic recipes.  

You will enjoy two meals per day (breakfast and dinner) plus snacks and tea/coffee throughout the day and during our breaks. 

Leisure & Activities

In-between practices, you will have time for yourself to use as you see fit, enjoy the multiple amenities, explore the amazing gardens and pools. We will also get to have a taste of the richness of this amazing land with more in-depth experiences, such as wine tasting (we are in the middle of epic Tuscan vineyards, after all) and cooking classes with local Chefs. 

On Wednesday, after the morning practice, you will have half a day free to explore the surroundings on your own, go for a quick drive to Florence or whatever you will feel inspired to do. 

For those interested, massage is also available at the client’s expense. 

Arrival & Departure time

We start the program on Monday at 16:00 with a small gathering in the main garden enjoying coffee, tea and traditional snacks, followed by a first yin yoga and Gong Bath session in the evening.

The retreat ends on Saturday, 9th of September at 12:00, after practice and breakfast. 


Transport is not included in the price. 

A private transfer from Florence Airport can be arranged upon request or you can easily reach the private villa at your own pace, by bus from Florence (18 km, 25 minutes), by taxi or by car. You will receive detailed instructions on getting to the villa  from Florence, Pisa, Bologna or Rome when securing your booking.
